Hey everyone!!
I just got done processing the scores for the tournament and the updated bracket can be found below.
Tournament Bracket:
It was an exciting night and we had several big upsets! Things got really intense for Schooled and Mac's Maniacs when they tied and had to have a bowl-off! This week's matchups should be pretty exciting, and I look forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday night!
I have also had a few teams complain about the handicaps and accused the opposing team of "sandbagging" them. I just wanted address this real fast. We have the handicaps for a reason. They are to provide people with lower bowling averages a chance to compete in a league setting. Also, I did not announce that we were abolishing the upper-lower tournament brackets until a week before the tournament started. It wouldn't make much sense for a team to purposely bowl poorly and have a bottom seed if they wanted to compete in the upper bracket. If the handicap is something you feel that your team cannot deal with, I would recommend that you play in our Tuesday night league next semester. This is a scratch league and you will not have to worry about handicaps.
If your team was knocked out of the tournament last week we still would like to see you come for the remaining weeks. This league wouldn't be as much fun without you guys, and we'll have open bowling for all leaguers not in the tournament anymore. We can even pit teams that lost against each other so you can have a team to compete against.
Just as a reminder, the awards ceremony will be on Wednesday April 21 (I believe this is the last day of finals). I hope all of you can make it out to that. It should be a lot of fun. We'll hand out all of the trophies and then have open bowling for everyone (we'll even turn on the cosmic lights).
See ya Wednesday!

Ok so here's the info for the tourney!
Just as a reminder the bottom 4 teams need to show up this week at 8 for your 1-game bowl-off. That is "Pin Pals" "Team Rocket" "10 in the Pitt" and "Children of the Project Mayhem"
So "Pin Pals" will be playing against "10 in the Pitt" and "Team Rocket" will be playing against "Children of the Project Mayhem"
The winners of the above games will be the bottom 2 seeds in the full tournament. If your team loses, we would like to invite you to stay and bowl for the remainder of the evening. You could even play against the other team that loses for fun.
Here are the brackets: (click on the image to make it larger)
If you have any questions feel free to ask! And as I mentioned above, if your team gets knocked out of the tournament we still want you to come for the rest of the tournament to support the other teams. We will let all of you bowl for the entire night (during league hours of course) for the standard league rate ($6 per bowler). They will still be a lot of fun and we will be doing trivia and possibly have another dance competition! These leagues wouldn't happen without you guys, so I hope to see all of you throughout the tournament.
Oh, and trophies will be handed out the week after the finals (this is during finals week I believe) during our normal league time. We'll have open bowling so I hope all of you can make it.
See ya Wednesday!
